Whitby

I decided to take photos of in and around Whitby, This arch is up the street from me.

I took this photo because I found the highlights of this interesting and the door knockers detail is one I would like to have on my own door but due to the age and style of my home there are restrictions to what you can do. Never the less it is nice to fine little gems like these even if some people don't notice them.

There are many alley ways in Whitby and little hiding places which are easy to find but you just need to look to find them. This is in the back street in the main town and reminds me of the 18th century London living arrangements.

The George Hotel is situated near the train station and is a very nice pub and bnb. I recommend coming here as they have a very good menu and have reasonable prices for food, drink and board.

I took this shot by mistake while trying to get the texture of the curtains on the other side of the glass. The writing is from the sign from the tobacconist in the main town called the Black swan shoppe. I highly recommend them as they have served me for about a year now and have high quality tabcacco, lighters, pipes etc very cheaply and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The kippers at this place are beautiful and fresh. It is near the abbey and is open every day of the week.

A memorial on the cliff near the abbey. It says Frank.

The road that leads to the Abbey.
